McCain Is Herbert

Now that Grandpa McCain has a whistle when he talks, he sounds like Herbert from The Family Guy. Paper boys beware.

McCain’s 5 Stages Of Grief Over The Economy

Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. He's got them all.

Inside McCain's skull: We're OK, no we're not. Fire somebody! Regulate but make it sound like I didn't say that. Get me some of Cindy's pills. Should I use WWII reference or get more from Vietnam? Carly made $42 mill, but I like lobbyist. Am I wearing my Depends™? Is Bush still President or can I blame something on Clinton? Hillary or Bill, it doesn't matter. Get CNN out of here!

Great article on McCain's implosion over the past few days. His daily-changing positions, his ignorance of economics, his furious tirades and new ingenious anti-press stance have Grampy McLame struggling to cope with his diminished presidential prospects. Maybe he wants us all to feel sorry for him so he'll get the sympathy vote?

Read about all 5 stages in detail here.

Room temperature IQ, health issues, forgets what he says. Let's find the Maverick a nice blanky and a cup of soup. Bless.

Yet Another Grandpa Moment For McCain

I respect my elders, I think Grandparents are the best. But I don't need one running the country in 2008. On it's own, its no biggie, but collectively McSame is just not sharp enough to be President. He keeps getting his facts wrong. Couple with his poor judgement, this is a deadly mix. Hyperbole intended.

Here is a quote, via E&P, where mixes up the National Guard and the Army regarding Palin's son, a person you would think he could better remember.
'I also know, if I might remind you, that she is commander of the Alaska National Guard. In fact, you may know that on Sept. 11 a large contingent of the Alaska Guard deployed to Iraq and her son happened to be one of them. So I think she understands our national security challenges....'

"The ceremony Palin attended at Fort Wainwright last week didn't involve the Alaska National Guard. Palin's son is in the Army, and his unit - 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division - deployed to Iraq."
Mr Military McCain continues to get a free pass by his own base. Haven't Republicans learned from Bush that you need to know your shit or you're going to run this country into the ground?

Massive government, massive debt, massive bailouts. Low IQ leaders. That's the GOP.

Obama's New Ad: McCain Has His Pants On Fire

Liar, Liar. The tipping point has begun for McCain. Obama is our next President.

This Ad Is All About Grandpa McSame

Video hits the right chord, part humor, part serious, all facts. McCain is old guy and out of touch with what is going on in 2008. He can't even find this blog or know how to email me. In this complex world with its global problems, we don't need a President you wouldn't trust with the TV remote.

America is like a massive tech company. Do you want the guy at the top to be clueless? Imagine if McCain were running Microsoft and he has no idea how his company works, would you buy the stock? You'd sell it instantly. If this video offends like-minded people who are geriatrics and don't use computers, that's ok, their ignorance is bliss. For the rest of us, competence and intellect is what we need. This is a race to the top, not to the bottom.

McCain Uses Wrong Picture In RNC Video

During the RNC, John McSame spoke before a massive video screen filled with images of America and people/places relative to his message. As an example of his lack of attention to detail, or, maybe this reflects his general Republican indifference towards injured troops, he used a picture of Walter Reed Middle School in Hollywood, CA instead of the real Walter Reed Hospital in DC.

No big deal, but imagine if Obama did that in his speech?

Maybe he thought it was one of his 7 mansions?

McCain, The Gambler

Forget the Maverick image BS, John McSame is here on now called the Gambler. But not the good kind, the Kenny Rogers type who wins against the bad guys in the end. I'm talking the novice type who gets hustled out of all his money in minutes. He gambled away all his hopes, took massive risks based on his own quick decisions, and drew snakes eyes in the political game of life. No vetting of his VP candidate? Making the pick on his own? Like the songs says, "know when to walk away, know when to run". Well John, start running. This train wreck of a decision is going to haunt you for a long time.

Imagine his decisions in the years to come, getting older by the day? He thinks the future of the US is worth this? Debt Crisis? 3 wars? His answer for these massive problems is someone with no experience. Classic Republican candidate: the actor. Reagan and Fred Thompson were literally actors, Schwarzenegger, too. Bush acted like a religious guy, but never went to church, and was the first President with an MBA and acted like he never heard of fiscal responsibility while ran the economy into the ground. Now we have the first VPILF, Sarah Palin. She looks hot, I'll give her that. She looks like she might be cast as a VP in a TV mini-series who needs a sassy Megan Mullaley type character.

We joke that Palin looks like the hot librarian in any Cinemax movie, but those days are over. You can't photoshop or use lights and make-up to cover up this mess. The goon squad at the RNC will just have to wait until 2116 to cast their next actor in a leading role.

Presidential Likability

One of George Bush's strengths and oft repeated qualities is he is the kind of guy you can have a bar-b-que with. I would say "have a drink with" or "have a line of coke with" but that's another story. They have him pictured on bicycles, jogging about, clearing brush, hanging with his wife, at his daughter's wedding, etc. Activities that make him human. He's just like you and me. All Presidents do this.

Now picture the two current candidates and what they convey to their public. Barack Obama is a younger, more dynamic representation of a politician. Casually dressed, great smile, adoring family, he is a natural. There's the obligatory photograph of him playing basketball to show he can move. His charisma is massive, as are his oratory skills as witnessed by his public speeches. He has it all.

Now look at John McCain. His wooden arms and robot appearance. His teeth gritting delivery and nervous laugh. His inability to read a teleprompter. His face scarred from cancer. I don't care what he's been through, it's where he is at now. His age, 72, is not in and of itself a problem. Lots of 72 year old men are still running around, playing sports, are mentally strong and look great. McCain is not one of them. You'll never see this guy on a golf course swinging away or finishing up a jog with the Secret Service all around him. He's the Grandpa with the sun umbrella and caramel chews. As much as Bush could buddy up with the cretinous Toby Keiths of the world or NASCAR oval-driving enthusiasts, who does McCain have? The pop-culture meter on him is in the negatives. What is his angle for connecting with young people? "Bomb Iran" jokes? The answer is he painfully has nothing. I wouldn't trust this guy with my TV remote.

Add to his cardboard machismo and shitty humor, his family life. The Los Angeles Times did some solid investigative reporting and published a very damaging item yesterday on John McCain’s personal background, which is of course a key part of his campaign. We learned that McCain turned his back on his wife after she was seriously injured in a car accident, committed adultery, and left the mother of his children when he found a younger, wealthier woman. His first family is pictured here to the right. The two sons were from his wife's previous marriage. Sounds so conservative.

Worse, we also learned that McCain didn’t tell the truth about this in his own memoir. McCain insisted that he was separated from his first wife before he began dating his second wife. That’s not true. McCain also insisted he’d been divorced for months before remarrying. That wasn’t true, either. (In fact, the LAT reported, “McCain obtained an Arizona marriage license on March 6, 1980, while still legally married to his first wife.”)

Now ask yourself this, if Barack did the same thing, would his family life be an issue? [Note: All the 2008 Republican candidates were divorced, Giuliani has three wives. Romney was the only one with his first wife and he is of all things a polygamy loving Mormon.]

The Right Wing can do all they want to position McCain as a tough talking, experienced leader. His base will deny reality as they do so well. The fact is he is a warmed over Bob Dole and we all know how that story ended - losing large in the elections and doing erectile dysfunction ads on TV.
