A Just System Would Impeach Bush

Today, on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), who has held several hearings on the Bush administration’s torture program, said that President Bush has committed “impeachable offenses”:

Nadler: "If we had a just system and it weren’t overly political, the president would be impeached. I think he has committed impeachable offenses."

Kucinich introduces an article of impeachment against President Bush “for high crimes and misdemeanors” and “deceiving Congress with fabricated threats of Iraq WMDs to fraudulently obtain support for an authorization of the use of military force against Iraq.”

Funny how this is not even denied, it's just ignored. Republicans and their constant destruction of the Constitution have numbed us into a nation of ignorance. Bush would have to strangle a baby on camera and stomp on its dead body before anyone on the Right felt any sense of wrong doing by the President. Start a war, bleed the country dry, deny all facts. Wexler: Impeach

Rep. Robert Wexler just told the Judiciary Committee that the testimony of Scott McClellan warrants opening up an impeachment investigation.

"These facts and your testimony, Mr. McClellan, are more than enough in my view to open up impeachment hearings."

Won't happen because it's so near the end of Bush's presidency, but it's the right thing to do. Same goes for the true evil one, Cheney. Too little too late.
