President Jimmy Carter laid it out the other day at American University.
There is "no doubt in my mind that Gore won the election," the erstwhile President declared, saying the 2000 election process "failed abysmally."
Problem with Americans is that we accept lies. We were lied to about the 2000 election, we were lied to about WMD. We are so passive, it becomes unbearable to change the reality of not getting the truth. It would shock us to hear the truth.
rel·a·tiv·ism (rl-t-vzm)
n. Philosophy
A theory, especially in ethics or aesthetics, that conceptions of truth and moral values are not absolute but are relative to the persons or groups holding them.
We have this problem as a society. Our values are relative to lies. We shape our policy on lies. From the war, to the environment, to global warming, to Medicaid, the list goes on. We are living on Republican lies.
Let's end them in '06!
