Man Convicted of Torching Black Church After Obama Election

A 23-year-old Massachusetts man plead guilty today to torching a predominantly black church several hours after the election of Barack Obama, a crime that prosecutors say was motivated by bitterness over the election of the nation's first black president.

Boston Globe: "Investigators said Haskell was one of three men who, several hours after Obama's election, broke into the church through a window, poured gasoline inside and outside, and ignited it. The fire destroyed nearly the entire structure."

Black man democratically elected. Man burns down black church in protest. What logic.

Somehow these people in Springfield, Massachusetts should pay for the election? Hate crimes and civil rights crimes against a church should set this guy up for the next nice years in prison. I hope he gets a warm reception.
