Democrats Jump Ahead in Congressional Ballot
In the same week the U.S. Senate passed a Wall Street reform bill, a new Gallup Poll shows Democrats pulling ahead of Republicans in the generic congressional ballot, 49% to 43%.The result represents the first statistically significant lead for Democrats since Gallup began weekly tracking in March.
"Whether the Democrats' edge is sustainable remains to be seen. Republicans held a four-point or better lead over Democrats in three Gallup weekly averages thus far this year, but in each case, the gap narrowed or collapsed to a tie the following week."
2010 elections will be the talked about and sold as a barn-burner for the sake of building a story to sell ads on TV, but Democrats will kick ass again. The GOP is good at dealing misinformation, but not winning elections.
