Pat Tillman was a pawn used by Bush and Rumsfeld to sell a bogus war. Fratricide in the military made it more shocking once you start hearing the truth.
Tillmans mother is the hero. He was a victim of the military culture. Lies in recruitment to get young people to join and the American public to support wars. Lies in training to create hatred for an enemy and blind obedience to orders. Lies in war to justify their actions and cover up their misconduct. Lies to families whose loved ones are killer and damaged. Lies to veterans about health care for the physical and psycological wounds.
Ms. Tillman opened up her investigation and was brave enough to uncover the truth about her son's death and the military's culture of self preservation and deception.
From my training company in the Viet Nam war where the unit posted the sign "War is Our Business and Business is Good", to my commanding officer who called himself "Master Blaster", to U.S. commanders in Afganistan who declare that they like killing people, the military perpetuates a culture of violent oppression of those in the military and the rest of the world.
Go for it Ms Tillman. I greatly appreciate your efforts. But will the people of USA be willing to see the truth through their flag waiving.
