Obama: Regaining Our Stature

Our future President sets a course to correct what the infant George W used as policy, in addition to, going after the guy who started all this. So simple yet beyond what most conservatives can comprehend.

First on torture and Guantanamo:
OBAMA: "Yes. I have said repeatedly that I intend to close Guantanamo, and I will follow through on that. I have said repeatedly that America doesn’t torture, and I’m going to make sure that we don’t torture. Those are part and parcel of an effort to regain America’s moral stature in the world."
Secondly on OBL:
OBAMA:“capturing or killing Osama bin Laden is a critical aspect of his national security strategy of stamping out al Qaeda. He is not just a symbol, he is also the operational leader of an organization that is planning attacks against U.S. targets.

Neocons didn't have the intelligence or morality to do the right thing. They choose the easy road and covered their tracks with zero oversight and fear. The US swallowed that BS for 8 years, now it's a new day and a new America.

Doing the right thing is easy when everyone is looking, it's doing the right thing when it's below the radar and there's no obvious reward that we all aspire to.
