This is the true Bush legacy:
The Labor Department reported this morning that 533,000 jobs were lost last month, and unemployment surged to 6.7%. The job losses are much higher than the 300,000 losses that analysts predicted. This is the 11th straight month of job losses and the largest monthly decline since 1974. Nearly 2 million jobs have been lost this year. The numbers for October and September have been revised downwards, as well. For October the revision is substantial, 80,000 more jobs lost, and for September 199,000 more jobs lost. Over the last three months, over 1,270,000 jobs have been lost.
Ever notice Bush gets Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao to cook the jobs numbers, these things are always revised upwards afterwards.
