The 10 Worst Predictions For 2008

The end-of-year lists start to roll in:

No surprise this oxygen thief tops their list. How can Weekly Standard editor and New York Times columnist William Kristol maintain 2 jobs in these tough times?

Oh, that's right, he's a conservative pundit.

No need to be correct. Just repeat the old talking points, slam a Clinton, then use "winning", "terror" and "9/11" in a sentence.

Kristol is like the Frank Burns [M*A*S*H] of politics: ferret-faced, devoid of personality, total suck-up to the conservative establishment, horrible sense of humor with an annoying, insecure laugh, yet, somehow still in the mix spewing old rhetoric despite having no connection with reality.

Another nugget:
Donald Luskin in September, the day before Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy:
"[A]nyone who says we're in a recession, or heading into one -- especially the worst one since the Great Depression -- is making up his own private definition of 'recession.'"
